A compound along the coast. A city of survivors in a wasteland of nuclear aftermath. The people originally banded together, all those near this beachside town forming a society together in pursuit of returning to their previous normalcy, but the reality was much more cruel than the expected.
The local people who inhabited the land before the world became a warzone, and then a wasteland, had lost their homes to ruin. Others within the compound passed through and stopped by, remaining in the area after being trapped by the dangers of returning to their own homes during wartime.
A society built on hierarchy and rules– classes formed depending on knowledge of the area, with those presiding over the lower classes forcing all of the laborious activities upon them while handing out tasks and orders. It was originally an acceptable scenario: those with knowledge could give orders as they understood what was necessary, while those without the knowledge they needed would carry out what the compound needed to survive. However, as time passed, and everyone became equally knowledgeable about the spoils of their surroundings, the situation became increasingly unfair to those who were treated as laborers rather than equals.
